Reason why you would make a good professor: I think I would make a good professor because I would visit the site regularly, I've got a number of years of posting experience, I am good at writing longer posts as other sites I'm on have minimum limts of three hundred words. Also I think that after going through more than a decades worth of schooling I can quite successfully post a character that acts like a professor.

Professors Application Name: Zeddicus Zu'l Zorrander Gender: Male Age: 64 Subject: Spell Casting Link to profile:chelseaknaack.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=schoolfiles&action=display&thread=252&page= Years RPing: 4 Reason why you would make a good professor: Well Zedd is old and wise. He is a very experienced wizard with much knowlegde he could pass on to those younger. He has found many spells and objects that have helped the magical world and knows more about them than anyone. He can teach children to control their abilities and how to perform spells easily. He is however a tough teacher and he expects no excuses from his students. Sample Post: Zedd looked at the students in his class watching them as they moved their hands and wands. He looked for even the slightest mistake. Zedd knew that was a little harsh but he was old and unchanged in his ways. They had already mastered some of the less challenging basics and Zedd felt a sense of pride at that.
They had moved on to some of the harder lessons. He had learned each student’s limits just by watching them and always called for a break when they were reaching it. Though Zedd was hard he had an intense like for children. Zedd smiled as the students began producing sparks and flames from their wands and hands. He nodded and said," Alright class now that you have learned the simply part of summoning fire, we move on to the harder part".
Some of the students groaned rubbing their wrists and hands but Zedd only smiled. He knew one day they would appreciate this. He certainly did. One day when they were ready they would see that old Zedd had taught them what they needed to survive. Sure Defensive magic course could do it. Yet what was Defensive magic without knowing how to use the spells correctly or moving your hands just right. Zedd shook his head and said," Now now, remember diligence is the key to learning. Pain is nothing besides the knowledge you receive from it". They looked at Zedd like he was crazy. In fact many thought he was. After all talking to chickens and looking at clouds all day was not normal. Zedd liked keeping that up it made people less aware.
He knew the web was still up but there was no sense in not being cautious. Zedd then said," Now the next thing you are going to do is try to summon your fire into a ball. Once you have done that we will move into the practice room where you can try throwing it". Some of the children looked up delightedly at the prospect of destroying something. What they did not know it was harder than it looked.

Professors Application Name: Andrea James Gender: Female Age: 26 Subject: Polymorph Link to profile: Years RPing: 4 months Reason why you would make a good professor: I check in often. Andrea spent a few years as librarian and knows a lot about magic. She is a kind person and good at handling teenagers because she isn't much older than them. She is not very intimidating, so the students would not be afraid of her. Sample Post: Andrea burst into her classroom, the doors bursting as if a whirlwind had spun into the room. Arisa was at her side, large and full grown, looking impressive as she followed Andrea into the classroom. Andrea’s hand was placed loosely on the tiger’s head as she stalked to the desk and slammed down two textbooks, a large manila folder, and at least ten pounds worth of paper. She glared at the students, placing both hands on the desk. Despite her small stature, she looked impressive and intimidating as she glared at the students. Every eye in the room was on her.
Just like she wanted it.
“Boo!” She shouted, jumping forward slightly. Half the students jumped. The other half stared at her like she was crazy. They were probably right. She smiled at them, grinning. “Well……Welcome to Polymorph, kids! I am Professor Andrea James, professor James to you. What you just saw is what I look like when I have a bad hair day, only my hair doesn’t look as good. Got it?”
She looked around the room, smiling at the kids. Her first day of the year, first class of the day: first years. She loved messing with their head son the first day of school. But she was not mean enough to give them a completely wrong first impression and then show them something completely different the next day. It was only for the first five minutes of class.
“Now…” She continued, going away from behind the desk and turning to writ eon the board. She wrote her name and her three rules and turned back tot eh students. Her small back blocked the lower rule. Arisa jumped, in cub form, onto the chalk-bar and blocked the upper two. “I have three rules in my classroom. Respect everybody, but mainly me.”
She glanced around the classroom, making sure every student had his eyes on her. The first rule was not the most important. But she would tell them what other rules she had and which was the most important when she got to it.
“Rule Number Two,” She said, putting her hand son her hips and stepping forward slightly. “Rule number two: responsibility. You are to listen when I speak, turn in all of your work on time, and all that crap. If you miss a lesson, come and talk to me. I want each and every one of you to pass this class, but I’m not going to make it easy for you. I don’t bite. Promise.” She grinned briefly.
Her face grew serious again as she met eyes with every single student. “Rule Number three, my golden rule: Keep the lies and excuses at the door. If I catch anyone lying, making an excuse, or anything that has to do with either, I will kick you out and you will immediately fail my class.” She paused, making sure everybody understood what she meant, understood that she was serious. “Any questions?”
One boy in the back raised his hand. “Aren’t you a bit young to be a teacher?”
Andrea groaned, passing her hand over her face. A 12-year-old thought she was too young to be teaching. This was going to be one hell of a year.

Professors Application Name: Miss.Asphodel Whitefern Gender: Female Age: 22 Subject: Herbology Link to profile: Years RPing: 10 Reason why you would make a good professor:I am a fairly good teacher, and I figured I could translate that to my posting. I have time to spend and I felt I would make a excellent Herb teacher, being as I have kknowledge of such a thing myself (druidism and all ). Sample Post: (350 words min) The young woman rushed down the hallway her hair trailed behind her in her hurry. She had to get to her class, she'd manged to fall into a healers trance again and while she was usually punctual and on time. Today she was just not together at all. At her side Sassy as she called her companion bounded looking up at her giving her the are you sure your cut out for this look, in that annoyingly mother henning way. She tipped her head to reguard the cat and stuck on;y the tip of her tongue out at the cat. The cat gave her an evil look and than a cat like smirk. The next thing the tiny blond knew she was being pounced and into the the shadows, a strangled scream was lost between the here and now and that soon to be, as she appeared in a dishelved heap of hair and kitty. Sassy swished her tail in the air and reguarded her with a that will teach you look. Causing the young woman to sigh and shake her head at her companion, Sassy made herself comfortable across Asphodel's desk just because she knew it irritated her when she couldn't find her school plan. She wanted to drag Asphodel out for fun, out for sunlight, but the girl had insisted this class had to be taught.
Relief washed over her as she turned to look around the classroom, she was not in fact late she was ahead of time, thanks to the intervention of her cat. She set about setting up the class for the day, they were going to be going over the uses of Willowroot, the practical purposes and the magical ones as well. She had been offered the Potion Class but had decided against it because she felt herbs were much closer to home. They had many purposes even in there raw form. Asphodel turned her attention to the chalk board and set about drawing out the willow tree, in one section, and she added a small puzzle for her students enjoyment. She glanced over her shoulder and offered a shy smile as her first few students began to filter into her class. She brushed her hair back out of her eyes and continued to write in a clear curvy print. Her gaze having fallen back on her work. Good Morning." she called over her shoulder softly in greeting to those who spoke to her as they filtered into the class. It was usually a little hard to tell her from her stuents if her back was to them. Which at the current moment it was, still she chuckled softly, she took everything in good stride and with some grace, seeing as she didn't have a problem with that. It wasn't so long ago that she was a student there.
Brushing a hand down her skirt she turned to reguard her class which had settled in with that same shy smile. "Good morning, if you will take a good look you will notice that our class is on Willow, and the uses there of." she said as she moved to petty Sassy, and than around her to the front of the classroom. "NOw, As you know Willow is a tree, but theres so much more to it than just that." her gaze traveled among her students. There are more than one type of willow. There is the Crack Willow, also called the Fragilis...the Purple Willow, the purpurea, the violet willow the daphnoides and of course the bay willow the pentandra." she said a she pointed out each of the willows she'd drawn on the board for referance. "They all have there start in North America with the exception of one, does anyone know ?" softly spoken still her voice echoed in the class room.
One student raised her head and answered her, correctly she added with pride in her head and she nodded her head vigoriously. "Corrent you are my dear." she said "The Bay willow did not originate in North America." she looked among her class. The Bay Willow orginated in ( fill in here ). She again moved to walk among her students with an easy grace as she spoke to them. "Now, I know your likely curious why were discussing willow, but there is a reason and a medical one at that." she motioned with her small hands. "It is also a very potent pain killer, it was used for over two thousand years as a external wash for ulcers, and taken to reduce fevers and relieve aches, pains , rheumatism, arthritis and headaches." she turned her skrt swishing around her blooted feet. "If you take willow bark tea, it will treat fevers, and works like aspirn as a blood thinner. " she opened the scatchal that slipped from her shoulders and began to pass out bits of bark to her students. "This is willow bark." she explained as she took a piece herself. "Thiis is enchanted willow bark, when you chew it, it will aid you better than if you'd taken four asprins, and has none of the side effects." she said as she chewed her peice.
"Now, there are some cautions in the usage." she murmured as she moved to the board again. Writing on it Treats: Feavers and Aches and Pains . Than underlined beneath it. Cautions: Willow bark is high in tannins whch can cause liver damage, you should not use more than a handful of willow a day. "Due to its instances of causing liver damage I would not suggest more than one cup of willow bark tea in a day. " leaning against her board she smiled. "So tell me, Any questions ?

Name: Leonardo Vaye Vincent Gender: Male Age: Twenty-nine Subject: English Link to profile: Leon Years RPing: Mmm, still think four. But I could be wrong, seeing as it's 2009 now. Hmm. Four or four and a few months or something ^_^ Reason why you would make a good professor: Um, because I want to? No, no, really, because teachers are just human. Knowing that, it isn't too hard to imagine role-playing one. I'm growing up, it's nice to shed the thought of being a kid and try to strive to act more mature. Be less scared of the word 'adult' and more comfortable with the reality of the word. You wouldn't think it, I'm sure, from my behavior in the cbox but I can very well handle maturity. Sample Post: "They're not that different from you, are they? Same haircuts. Full of hormones, just like you. Invincible, just like you feel. The world is their oyster. They believe they're destined for great things, just like many of you, their eyes are full of hope, just like you. Did they wait until it was too late to make from their lives even one iota of what they were capable? Because, you see gentlemen, these boys are now fertilizing daffodils. But if you listen real close, you can hear them whisper their legacy to you. Go on, lean in. Listen, you hear it? - - Carpe - - hear it? - - Carpe, carpe diem, seize the day boys, make your lives extraordinary."
Leon woke with a start. Huh? He sat up and looked around. Instead of seeing Mr. Keatings, like he expected, he was faced with an empty classroom. Ha, who was he kidding? Yeah, he was going to be just like Mr. Keatings, one lecture at a time. A beach filling with sand one grain at a time. That's just about how impossible it was seeming. Regardless Leon was a damn good teacher, no matter what anyone else said. And he knew it.
Leon reached his hand up into the air, yawning simultaneously. "Mmmm,"he grumbled to himself before his arm fell back down to his desk. There was still no one there but he was beginning to focus in on the desks. The wood, it was unique. So very different, so characteristic. . .Hmm, kids should draw on desks more to give them personality. That shouldn't be a problem, it was English class after all. Surely it was bound to be less engaging then, say, potions or magical creatures. At least they had animals and random ingredients to keep their minds active. Leon tried to keep them engaged by showing them random tricks, like how to draw in the air almost like a glowing stream of ink. That was clever enough, wasn't it? A bit boring after the first few tries. . .
Leon's guardian drew him out of his consideration. Above him the owl was circling, his keen eyes watching for prey. Leon stayed relatively still to avoid being attacked by mistake, because if the prey his guardian sought was anywhere near, he knew he'd lose a finger just as quick as the prey could. To further protect his fingers, he raised one hand to run through his hair while the other dropped to his side and rested against the side of his chair. Silence fell beyond the flapping of the owl's wings which helped Leon hear the scurrying of the mouse's tiny paws. Ew, mice were disgusting. Chances were the clever owl had let it out himself. Million seemed to love a good hunt. Why did he have to have a predator as a guardian? He loved Million, just not his nature. Death was a haunting reminder of his power, and of his mistake. One of the few things he regretted was almost killing that Piximinx student all those years ago. Sure, Lenny had payback coming, not death. And it made Leon feel cold. He wasn't cold or uncaring. . .He wasn't. Was he? He shook his head and both hands rose up, slapping at his desk. The pain made his mind go blank for a split second. It was long enough to help him change the subject.
The lesson for today was no mystery though it wasn't set in stone just yet. He'd probably have them read a story he'd never forgotten after reading it- The Most Dangerous Game. He'd start by saying,'Who here likes hunting? Anyone? It's quite the challenge. You have to be quite cunning.' He'd let them talk about it, he'd try to get them to think he was interested- maybe he would be, he couldn't be sure.
Then, after bringing them into the conversation, Professor Leon intended on moving on by asking 'What's the most dangerous thing to hunt, do you think? A lion? A tiger? An elephant? An elk? A moose?'. He'd let them debate, just biding his time though he didn't care for their answers, it was the idea that they were engaged and listening. People needed to know what they were doing before they did it, they had to get into the mood to do it. Once he'd got them into a conversation and thinking about the title, he'd pull out the assignment. It was a bit misleading, his introduction and questions, but it got them to read it didn't it? Well, he hoped it did. He'd lay the assignment on them slow, he'd read the first part up until Rainsford fell into the water, and then he'd hand it to them with the hope that that'd be interested by that point in the story. That was the plan. He wasn't sure he trusted it to go smoothly but he was confident that he'd figure out what to do when it came at him. It was quite simple in theory.
There were millions of things that could go wrong, though, weren't there? What if someone was ill, or if they got rowdy, or if they started fighting amongst themselves, riled about their differences in houses? What then? He had to handle that in the appropriate manner if he hoped to stay here, didn't he? Perhaps in time he wouldn't be so nervous about that sort of thing. After all, no one was monitoring him twenty-four seven. Who'd know other then the students? And who'd believe sniffling brats over a Professor and Dragoni student, after all? Well, maybe he shouldn't get quite so brave. Just play it safe and see what everyone else was doing, maybe he'd blend in. If he heard reports of teachers being biased and nothing happened then he'd loosen up, otherwise it was a strict no tolerance for discrimination by house.
Leon drummed his fingers along the desk with his right hand while his left hand supported his chin. Hm. He'd never been on this side of the room before. Well, never quite like this. It was empowering, it was invigorating. Like a boy given responsibility, he was giddy and somber at the same time. It was such a great opportunity! Immaturity would be frowned upon, best not to let his emotions show too much. It was just a job, just a paycheck, right? It was an in into the magical world- a secure in. Not something he was likely to be dismissed from at any second. That security- or at least feeling of it- was probably the best part of the job.

Professors Application
Name: Spirit Annarose Waltz Gender: Female Age: Twenty-four Subject: Potions Link to profile: CLICK Years RPing: Five Reason why you would make a good professor: Besides the fact that Spirit is an intelligent woman, she feels that being a teacher will repay her debt to what the school has given her. Not to mention that Spirit has always liked Potions since her time at the school, and finds the subject totally intriguing. She feels it's her duty to teach such a great subject to students correctly, so that they may use the knowledge she bestows upon them with grace and intelligence. Strong-willed and hard-hitting, Spirit would be a Professor that the students would not like, but in the end, her blunt way of putting things and drilling knowledge into them would pay off.
Sample Post: This is from a Harry Potter version of Spirit Waltz, so the setting is obviously Hogwarts. :C Sorry!
---
She stepped into the library, her liquidy blue eyes sweeping the whole of the place. Some students catched her eye, and those whom did, wished they hadn't. Spirit Waltz was not in a good mood today, and all the students whom did dare google or stare at her fore a second, recieved a prompt glare which you might expect from Professor Waltz.
Long robes of satin blue stroked the ground, the hems of the robe a queen's lace black. Besides the silky robes which she wore, underneth was a purple turtleneck (which was not made of wool, thank god, for that would itch way to horribly to tolerate), but of a normal cotton-like fiber. A black uniform skirt which came down to her knees. Of course, all of this (except a tiny part of her turtleneck) was hidden by the robes, and this, Spirit was thankful for in the least.
Her hair was pulled into a neat bun in the back of her head, except with a side bang brushing into her face. She looked rather neat and clean, as Profesor Waltz often did. A large black witch's hat was placed atop her head, a navy blue cloth belt tied around the hat, and embroded with a pattern of roses, spiderwebs, and of course, spiders in the darkest grey, so that it was only visible if you were face to face with the hat.
It was a rather harsh day, really. Some kids were acting up in her class, and she had to get on them once or more. People didn't seem to pay much heed in Potions, which ticked Spirit off even more. Order was a great part of her belief, and although she seemed rather mean and unfair at times, but Spirit did a good job teaching, really. At least, when her class paid attention, that is.
She heaved a sigh, and continued in the library, her shoes making a soft clank against the ground. Now, why was Spirit exactly here? Well, just to check out some books on potions of course. The female wanted to plan ahead for future courses, and this could only be achieved by one source. Books. Spirit knew a lot about potionary, but people forget, and she had to admit that she didn't know EVERY potion in the whole entire world memorized in her head.
The 22 year old teacher wandered to the 'P' section, where they would obviously hold potion books, and began to raid each shelf. Some books had titled that seemed silly, and other too critical for her taste, So she only picked outn the ones in the middle, for they seemed to be the best choice of judgement. When Spirit was done with her book gathering, she had about 10 of them, all stacked in front of her face. The professor obviously didn't know where she was going.
This is why it was so easy for Spirit to trip. It happened to fast that she ddin't even see it. She just kind of... Fell forward, and splattered books all over the floor. If you think it's embaressing for you to spill books on the floor, think of a teacher. Spirit's cheeks suddenly bruned a red from embaressment, and she tried to pull herself together as best as she could. And once more, she began to tedious yet quick task of gathering her books.

Professors Application Name: Nicolette Brennan Gender: Female Age: 23 Subject: Art Link to profile: Nicci's Bio Years RPing: 3-4 Reason why you would make a good professor: I know alot about art, techniques, a bit about it's history and various medias used in it. Nicci, began studying art, and it's history on her 3rd year. She has a possitive attitude, and is patient, as well as willing to teach others about the secrets of the great masterpeices.
Sample Post: (This is a post I did, from another site, as Alexandra: Student)
Beep...Beeep...Beeep...Beep... Alarmclock...morning...new school...again... Beeep...Beeep...Beeep....Bee "Alright, Alright..I'm up...." Crash. Silence...Peacefull silence....
Slowly, Alex opened her eyes staring up at the cilling, squinting at the light that fell though the open window onto her pillow. With a soft grown she rolled away on her side. Why did they have to move? What in the world possesed her father to get up, and move to a God forgoten state, with freezing weather, and Devil only knows what else! To say the least, Alex hated moving, and why should she like it? In her old state, it was warm, sunny, bunch of beaches, bunch of hang-out places, cute guys, top of the school...and hundreds more things, and what's here? Nothing...that is, of course, save the oprotunity to remain herself, with out any idiots interfearing with it. Here, she could build her own reputation, different from the one there, and thus she wouldn't have to act...She sighed. Who was she kidding?
With a small, sigh she got up. Her eyes ran over the room in a skeptical gaze. Well, at least she would have the option of living in the dorms...Thankfully...Kind of...With out much enthusiasm, Alex walked into the bathroom, looking blankly at her own reflection in the mirror. It was strange seeing her self with out the usial cover of the make up. But, hey, she had to take it off some time...This was just not one of those times. Her hands worked almost machenically putting on the make up, and then picking out her clothes almost with out looking. Jeans, T-shirt, Jacket, her necklace, beads, couple bracelets, and a thin scarf tied around her neck.
Her mom drove her to the Academy, just this once, offering to go in with her, but Alex politely declined. Getting out of the car, she paused for a moment, throwing a grim look over the building, before closing the door of the car, and making her way to the door of the school building. She didn't start the whole day, just part of it, coming in before lunch. Now...for the schedule...Taking a quick glance into her bag, to make sure that she had it with her, Alex wondered off. Or rather, when on exploring the school. Yes, true she saw it when they gave her the general tour, but that's nothing compared to what you discover on your own.
First floor...Second...Third...Forth...Fifth...Door. Door? The last door sparked Alex's curiosity, one too much. It could lead to the attic, or some room, or another secret floor...After small hesitation she opened the door to see...the roof....A roof? Just, the roof top? Only?
Carrifully steping though, and taking care to close the door, though making sure she was able to open it again, Alex walked out onto the platform. Her heart skipped a beat, as the skyline opened before her. Holding her breath, Alex reached into her bag, pulling out her digital camera, putting it into focus with out a second thought. Her eyes swept the scenery around her, as she started taking the shots to capture the beauty of the sky, the fields, courtyards, trees, sky lines, hills, any thing and everything she saw. Almost as if hypnotized by the sight. Maybe..just maybe, she'll like this place after all....
