A full moon lit the night sky as Ava made her way off the train. She held onto her cloak as she quickened her pace. Her boots clicking with each step. A cool breeze rushed against her cheeks and flowed through her hair. She could feel her guardian close by as she focused on the glowing castle off in the distance. It was a breathtaking sight that never got old.
As she entered through the double doors, Ava noticed the chaos around her. She could easily tell who the first years were because their thoughts were racing. Ava took in a deep breath as she rubbed her temples. Suddenly, she felt a tug on her robe, her emerald eyes leading to Gabriel. The black panther's eyes glimmered back at the young girl. The side of her lip slowly rose, "Way to make an entrance" she said jokingly.
"What can I say, it's what we do best." her companion responded. Ava quietly laughed and followed him to where the ceremony was held. She smiled when she noticed Mrs. Felix from afar. The woman was eccentric to say the least, but her heart was in the right place. They even had something in common, the black panther is their guardian. Ava remembered when she met Nestra, it was certainly a day she'd never forget. After that she became like a second mother.
Ava made her way towards the group as she seemed to have stumbled into a conversation. Gabriel observed the seventh year, "Be careful with this one" he telepathically told her. She nodded as a signal that she got the message. She kept her distance from the student and stood near the teachers. "Good Evening, Ladies." Gabriel said lowering his head. Ava smiled at her smooth-talking guardian before she could get a word in. "Hello professors, Nestra." she said giving a slight courtsie.

Mrs. Felix saw one of her more warm hearted students walk into the school. Turning around she gave Ava a hug and smiled brightly, “Hello dear welcome back to Arcane.” It had been a long summer it seemed and Felix often missed the students. She always had to find something to do in order to occupy her time.
Looking back at Sam who was ecstatic at the moment she smiled again, “I am so happy for you Sam, welcome to the Piximinx house.” It was so nice to see all the old students and the new ones. First day was always the best since the large empty school was finaly filled with her long awaited students. Each mind ready to learn.
"How was your summer Ava, Sam?" She asked the two girls, looking back at Melanie she directed a question to her knowing now to never ask something pointless to the Dragoni students, "And how is the family Melanie?"

As Jonathan teleported into the Main Entrance with the help of his guardain Zeus, he knew that he would probably scare some first years, and maybe even some of the older students. But he always thought you have to be cruel to be kind. And the students have got to get used to the use of magic all round them.
As he materialised he was hit by the thoughts of all present, but with the typical skill and ease of a Dragoni, he damped them down to bearable levels and masked his own thoughts.
When he noticed Professors Felix and Ketcher in one place along with Melanie Hart, one of his best and favourite students, he strided towards them. The air of confidence and power around him, as well as the tiger beside him making most people scatter before him.
He gave a nod to each of the Professors, and one oof his rare smiles to Melanie, then after a quick look at the two other students dismissed them as not of his House, and so not important. 'Have there been any for my House, so far?' He asked Professor Felix politely but rather bluntly as was often his way. Knowing that she would probably have been here since the first arrivals got here.

Turning her head a voice rang surprisingly close to her ear. She jumped slightly at first thinking it was her ex. Cheeks a rosy red she looked at the man to see it was indeed a Jonathan but not hers. "Oh Mr. Dragoni, a few students have been put in your house. I think twelve, don't be to hard on them now." She replied sweetly with a bright smile.
Despite the fact she hated Mr. Dragoni to the pit of her stomach she could not help but still be nice. Besides the only person she could fully hate was Mr. Felix, whom she still was sadly in love with. Yet Mr. Dragoni had that air of charm about him and he was deadly attractive. How was it she behaved herself so well around so many attractive male professors? Oh she didn't, that was why she married one. How she missed those days of being Ms. Murphy, sure she could go back to them since the divorce was final, but she didn't really want to give up her name.
"How are you by the way?" She had to big a heart, one day she just had to let go and be rude or mean to someone instead of so damn happy and cheerful.

A smirk fought to rise on Jonathan's lips when he saw that Mrs. Felix had jumped because of his speaking, because he greatly enjoyed intimidating people.
"Oh Mr. Dragoni, a few students have been put in your house. I think twelve, don't be to hard on them now."
He broke out into a fully fledged smile, one that had been known to melt hearts at 100 paces, when he heard that he had got new students to help mould into what they should be as a member of Dragoni House. The smile died quickly though as he registered the last part of her sentence.
'Don't worry Mrs. Felix won't be any harder on them than I have to be.' He said in an entirely unreassuring manner.
"How are you by the way?"
He really wished she wouldn't be so happy and cheerful all the time, it annoyed the hell out of him. 'I'm quite well thank you.' He replied brusquely but still ever so politely.

"Well that is good to hear. Poor students don't need to be frightened their first year, but then again it is hard to frighten a Dragoni student."
Watching all the new students run around to find their house she let out a sigh. Nestra leaning up against her legs noting the newcomers behavior.
"This bunch is going to be difficult. I can feel their rebellious plots brewing even now."
Glancing down at Nestra she shook her head. The creature was such a pessimist, she had little faith in anyone. However it was her little secret that she always had faith in Abby.
"Don't say that Nessy, these children are all very kind." Looking back up at Mr. Dragoni she continued, "Well you know Nestra, no faith in the world."
Nestra turned her attention to Zeus and bowed her head. "Zeus, good to see you again." She spoke to him in a charming voice. Nestra was always charming with all the big cat guardians. They all had her respect from day one. The trouble was keeping her respect.

"Well that is good to hear. Poor students don't need to be frightened their first year, but then again it is hard to frighten a Dragoni student."
He nodded in response to her comment. It was true that the Dragoni students were the hardest for him to scare. But he usually found a way, because he and his family has long thought that you don't know your limits unless they're pushed.
"This bunch is going to be difficult. I can feel their rebellious plots brewing even now."
He had to nod in agreement with Nestra, though at the minute the first years were overwhelmed they would soon be up to no good. And he got the feeling this year would be the worst for pranks and the like in a long time.
"Well you know Nestra, no faith in the world."
He turned back to Mrs. Felix 'I have to agree with Nestra, this year feels like it could be a bad one for pranks and rebellion.' He said with a bit of a smile on his lips, because he knew that he wouldn't have to deal with it near as much as some, because he only had the later years in his classes.
"Zeus, good to see you again."
Zeus; who had been looking around him with a look in his eyes that if you stood close enough you might tremblingly identify as hunger, turned and looked at Nestra. 'You to, Nestra' He rumbled out in his deep growl-like voice. Zeus quite liked and respected Nestra as she was so unlike her Witch most of the time.

Indeed Nesrta had the mentality of a Dragoni, but she still had a kind heart, something many Dragnoi needed. Patting her on the head she looked over at Zeus, the great tiger. His brilliant coat was patterned with such vibrant shades of orange and black. "Yes Zeus you must drop by sometimes. Nestra dose get so bored with all the students and I, especially when I have nothing for her to do."
Returning her attention on the man before her she put her hand on his shoulder. "Oh Jonathan do tell me if you see Mr. Felix anywhere. He forgot some of his things at my house and I would like to break his jaw on top of that...sooo..." She had a funny way of being angry at people, if she was serious or not was the question, but at the moment she didn't even want to look at that man.
Those two had been through hell, they had helped out so many people together and fixed all their own problems but that was just not good enough. She was stuck with him either way, he had a part in every aspect of her life still, and she did still so much love him. It was hard to move on from the perfect man.

Her eyes lit with excitement as she was greeted. Ava returned the hug then gently pulled away. It was difficult at times to go back to a world where she thought she never belonged to. Ava felt like she was sometimes living two different lives. Without her brother, she wouldn't even make it through the summer break.
Ava lifted her face, eyebrows reacting to the sound of her name.
"Normal as usual. I've still kept up with my training, even used my brother as a guinea pig for some of my experiments." she replied with an innocent grin.
Gabriel saw Boreas flapping about and wanted desperately to keep off his radar. Show off... Nestra caught his eye as he politely bowed his head. He became lost in her gaze, but subtlety came back to reality.
She kept a close eye on the first year, making sure Melanie wasn't causing any damage. Ava noticed the Dragoni professor walking towards the group. Her eyes rolled at the sight of him. She telepathically excused herself from Mrs. Felix, before leaving. Ava decided to look for any familiar faces and watch the first years get initiated into the school.

Melody brushed a couple of strands of hair out of her face and straightened her the cape in the Silwerwolf house colors. This was one of the times she felt she should use it, just for the sake of tradition.
The main entrance was filled with peoples by now and she smiled when she saw a couple of first years getting to meet they're guardian for the first time or it was not the first time after the book but it was the first time they got to meet it in this way.
"Let go to our table shall we Piper? See our friends again and see which one of the new ones will be in our house. Or is there anything you want to see first? It is a whole summer since last time we walked through this door."
