It’s 1943.

Muggle World War II has been raging for 5 years and it doesn’t look like it’s coming to a close any time soon. To the rest of the Muggle world, it is a vicious, prolonged war between the two alliances, using all their fancy machinery, jet fighters and bombers. However, unbeknownst to them, there has been a much more, mystical touch to this war. Over the past two years, wizards have become more involved. And this 'involvement' was not just those wizards who happened to be in the Muggle army. Actual war amongst wizards was breaking out too, although news of these magical battles have rarely reached Muggle ears.

The introduction of wizards on the opposing side meant that the Allies had to bring in magical reinforcements of their own, against the rising might of Grindelwald and the 'Red Door' army, as they have begun to be called. Able-bodied wizards are being conscripted, due to a lack of enthusiasm, which has had implications upon the great magical institutions of Europe, including Hogwarts. Staff, and even students are missing, and it is only a matter of time before the magical population of Britain is attacked.
