 Words of Power is a roleplaying site based off of the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini. Our site takes place on an alternate time line to that of the books. While Galbatorix and the Foresworn still destroyed the Dragon Riders the lot of them vanished, leaving Alagaesia in the chaos of their actions.
In the turmoil left behind a new ruler took the throne, originally supported by the people. He and his family are proving to be tyrannous rulers though and a Varden has sprung up to take him down. Though based in Surda, the King of Surda is not yet at war with the Alagaesia and not in open support of the Varden. In fact, the Varden stands alone as of yet. The dwarf King has not allied themselves with the Varden and allow both sides to pass through the mountains unmolested, yet under careful watch. The elves, under the leadership of their queen, have hidden themselves away in their forest deigning not to get involved. Dragons seem to have nearly vanished from existance at the moment.
On this site you will take on the role of either a warrior or a spellcaster, free to roam the land. Whether you are good, evil, or somewhere in between is up to you. Will you find fame, imfamy, or something else all together? The Fate of Alagaesia now rests in your hands.
