Welcome to Mersey Beat Academy for the Arts where the news is never old and the scandals never stop!

Mersy Beat is a school that's been around since 1976, previously owned by rock journalist Greg Duval. From the start it had never been the most highly thought of but the thing that kept the school going was the students and the passion they had for the modern pop culture. But all that changed not five years ago when father/son buisness team Wright&Wright took over.

Mersey Beat is now the most highly regarded and recomended school in New York. Principle Calder Wright and his father who own the school together keep the halls of this school tidier than they keep their shoes. Students are bound by strict rules and sevre punishments, not to mention the promise not to tell anyone about the abuse that they suffer. Wright&Wright have many students working like slaves to pay for even the smallest of crimes. The two would do anything to stay at number one.

However, like any school Mersey Beat is driven by cliques and the teenage-ish need to rebel. The school is divided by the elite rich and...normal and the poor scolarship students, but each and every student still wants the same thing. To be relieved of the tortures given by their uptight no fun teachers and to learn something within their interest range. Can the students bond together and fight the autority, or will they be driven to disaster by their own cliques?
