Personality:Stotic and thoughtful, the great bear tends to be very enduring of things, and indeed he is. He is a level head much like Jonathan himself is. He finds himself following his companion because Jonathan simply wants to help others, wants to see that they are as well in the head as they are in body. He is not very brooding, but he is very protective, if he finds that someone minght hurt his companion, he can be ferocious. A rearing polar-bear is not something you want to see when its angry. He is a conversationalist for Jonathan's sake, and he does indeed listen to the young man ramble on when he's in his lecturing mode, without complaint offering what he might need to add here or there.
Towards other Companions he tends to be very laid back indeed, relaxing and protective, he is clearly one of the most protective of the animals, by sheer size and attitude.

Appearance: Jonathan tends towards being very well kept even if his hair looks fly away at the best of times.. This comes from his habit of constantly running his fingers through it when he is in deep thought, and can not really be helped. Standing at six foot tall he is easily noticeable for his slender build but also the fact that he carries a rapier on his hip most of the time. The silver and black basket hilt often bumping against the tooled leather waist coat he wears beneath his dark blazer. He can be seen from day to day dressed as though he were going to class. On occassion he will done something other than a suit. It is very rare to find him in jeans and a tee-shirt. This has never really been his style you must understand. He simply prefers a taliored look. His colors are usually in the greys, the blacks, and the blues of the spectrum. On occassion maybe a green. Still the more dominate is shades of grays.
His features are sculpted and almost fine, his nose is stright and his eyes hold something of an almond shape to them, a very pale blue that stands out against his already pale skin, causing the scattering of freckles across his nose and cheeks to be very defined. His lips are full for a man but often set in a light and faint smile.

General Personality: The best way to term Jonathan is friendly and open, he's one of those people you can just talk to. He doesn't have alterior motives for caring for a person he just does. His sweet naturedness sometimes get him into trouble since he will go on a limb to help someone. He's one of the teachers that a student can come to with a problem and he'll always have a set for them to sit, and will always listen to anything that might be bothering them, because if he can help he will. Born to a rich family iof Irish/ French blood Jonathan and his twin sister Joanna was born ion the Hyde's of March, delievered by a mid-wife. Joanna was the older of the twins, by a minute and twenty seconds. She was also the stronger of them. She was also the most needy. As a boy Jonathan was raised to be a young nobleman in his parents house. His mother came from a noble bloodline of France. So when he and Johanna were twelve years old they were discovered to be like there mother, witches, and sent off to school. What neither of the children would understand was that there father's sanity, was hanging on the edge of slipping into madness. There mother hid this very well, and kept it from her precious children. The bruises and the terriable aches from a near mad husband. To add to the complications when the twins were nine, little Lottie came along. Still Joanna and Jonathan were spared his wrath as they were seldomly at home. Both the twins were vivacious and well liked Joanna caught the eye of more than one boy, with her raven hair and pale eyes. Her companion, was a large black bird when she gained her. It was no surprise to Jonathan that the bird like girl would get a raven, his own companion was a bigger surprise, how was he going to feed Joire.
The twins school life was what one might expect for two children of wealth, they had alot to live up to. Parties and Tea Times. Still Jonathan missed much of this as he was a quick study and taking advanced courses. His abilities with the mind bordered on amazing. Still he was learning to do more. He felt as though he should be able to do this, this was his calling in life. A calling he worked hard towards, when the twins were sixteen, life took a drastic turn for Jonathan. He lost Joanna to there father's madness. It had been cruel as it stood. Jonathan and she were coming home for the holidays, and Joanna beat him back because she chose to take an earlier flight, sighting she'd been a horriable girl and forgot to finish her shopping, it was her intent to finish it in the shops in Paris. She kissed his cheek and told him he worried to much, than went skipping out of his life forever. There father in a fit of maddness killed Corry, her Companion, and when Joanna went into a mad fit, he shot her as well. Jonathan through that twin link, knew something was terriably wrong. He had lost his twin sister.
Arriving home he had found out just what had transpired, and he was sick with grief and weak with hatred. Had Jiore not been there to help him, who knows what he might have done. Shielding him from his worst emotions the large bear helped him tend to his mother and his baby sister. It was Jonathan who convinced a board that his father was not of sound enough mind to actually be free on the streets, and he was put away, in a place that he could not hurt anyone anymore. Now Christmas is always a bitter sweet holiday for the young man. Returning to school he threw himself into his work, and he grieved, slowly healing. He arrived at the Arcane School that he had gone to as boy, and had taken up a position there as the Psycology Teacher. His gifts with the mind well known and highly respected. Jonathan was pleased to find that he was so welcome.
It was when they lost there English Teacher that there lives truly changed for the better he met Abigail Murphy. It was something to feel your heart hit your stomach and be bounced around by the butterflies. Jonathan and Abby began to date and it was whirlwind, as he'd asked her to marry him by the end of the year. It was a happy time for him, he was very much in love with his wife. He wanted nothing more than to spend a lifetime with her raising children, and seeing to the students under there care. Not all Dreams are meant to be though. Abby discovered she could never have children and Jonathan was shattered by this, but he loved her too much to leave her. He had seen her inner self the rage the fear, but still he stayed with her to try to help her cope as he would have thought she'd do for him too. When they began to argue it became the worse, she was a sweet woman, and he cared for her deeply, but the arguments began to grad on his nerves, and he could not help but feel a bit embittered by it. She was upset about not being able to have children.
He wanted to tell her they could always adopt, but this was not to be because the wound was too deep, it was not Jonathan who asked for a divorce, but rather a mutal agreement that they parted. He still holds alot of love for his ex wife but its hard to say if he is still -in love with her. He will still give her council and he most certainly willl not allow someone to hurt her. That she kept his last name says much to him about how she still feels, or he thinks she does. Jonathan keeps an eye out on her, and if she comes to him for help he's always there for her. Still, there is a part of him that feels its time to move on much like she does, and see if he can find a life outside the one he has.
