Personality:
Gans is everything that Spirit is not. While Spirit is a grumpy, practical woman who sees things through critical eyes, Gans takes life one step at a time, and is perfectly content and a happy goose. A bit spazzy and ditsy, Gans lacks Spirit's grace. But what he looses to her, he makes up with his own accord; A positive attitude that clashes with Spirit's downcast views, and his ever-energetic ways keeps the woman busy on her feet.
Not the mention that he takes a certain joy in embarrassing Spirit and butting into her conversations. It is safe to say that they are not like normal Guardian and Witch; While Spirit shows an outward coldness and sometimes even violence, and Gans takes a liking to tormenting Spirit, deep inside, they are more like siblings than a connected animal and human. They love each other deeply, and it's shown at rare moments, but that love is often covered up by their need to best each other.

Appearance:
Black hair which rolls down to her shoulders, somewhat croppy at the edges with uneven ends. Her hair is straight, though somewhat well.. Uppy. The elevation at the top of her head the smallest of the smallest unnormal, though it fits well with her face. Usual clean and neat, straightened, you can find it mostly in an orderly bun with two tendrils falling just beside her cheekbones. It is rarely out of this hair style, but when it is, you can expect to find her hair rather straight and just a little puffy.
A pale face with almost visible cheek-bones, you can tell that Spirit takes good care of herself. The female does not have many blemishes, and although she does get them sometimes, usually just uses a lotion, or something else to get rid of them. A large nose, though it fits her face well, is in the center of her face, of course. She has mostly normal features, all come into a heart-shaped face.
Ms. Spirit Waltz, the shortie. She doesn't mind, most of the time, but when people point it out, The female can be quiet short-tempered on that subject. The female is skinny, and has a rather hourglass-shaped body. Her frame is weak-looking, though she is not exactly weak. Spirit isn't very strong, either, but enough to punch a guy and make him say 'YOU LITTLE-' Well, you get the point.
Spirit wears clothing that have a sense of beauty, though look somewhat plain. The female doesn't like to wear designer clothing, and a turtle neck and a long skirt is what you'll usually find her in, if she's not in robes of some kind of dark color like navy blue or dark purple. Even if the clothing is rather plain, she is still somehow manages to make the clothing look good on her frame.

Dreams:
• For a busybody, orderly person like Spirit, her dream would surprise most. Instead of ruling the world with tyranny or having order (like some students would probably guess), she dreams of owning her own home placed right in the middle of large meadow filled with every kind of flower in the world. Look through her eyes, and see the mirror reflection, you will see the same yellow painted house with blue shingles, and a lot of children running around it, laughing, with Spirit sitting on the porch and playing a violin. But of course, this dream is far off, but she still has it in mind to comfort when something goes wrong.
Nightmares:
• Oh, this is a hard one. Spirit's worst nightmare will probably be the world turning into ventriloquist's dummies, animated creatures, or wax statues. A rather idiotic fear, yes, but Spirit has a problem with any kind of dummies that represent people, and the world getting turned into those lifeless being will drive her nuts. This can also be justified as people dying, for the person is not alive anymore, so you can also say that she has a great fear of death. Just, seeing the "dead" person in a state of healthy form is enough to send her into hysteria. This is an unknown fear, caused by an unknown thing. They believed that she was just born with it, and there was no real explanation why she was so scared of them.
Habits:
• foot-tapping
• laughing when nervous
• making a total fool of herself when nervous
• ignoring people
General Personality:
Sarcastic and practical would be one way to describe her outer. Spirit is the kind of teacher whom will never give her students any help with a problem. Not because she is purposely mean and wants to abuse them in their grades (that's what most students would think) but because she thinks lessons are better learned by yourself. Spirit is not one bit naive nor irrational, for she always thinks her movements before acting, a great skill she had learned. Besides that, Spirit is an intelligent being, proved by being placed in Ravenheart when she was in Arcane.
An understanding figure, although most people don't think so, she cares for her student's welfare. But because Spirit believes in no pressure, she never consults with the students (even if her suspicions are rising) unless they come to her. Even still, she will only give advice, never stopping. Spirit believes in figuring out your own problems, as you see.
Spirit is rather critical, and a total perfectionist. If you hang up a picture, she will have it straight before it's presentable in public. She has a hard time accepting changes, and throwing old things away, for some reason, and never seems to want to be left behind. The female is scared of being excluded, though she does not show her fears most of the time, for Spirit seems like a pride soul, while on the inside she is really low self-esteemed.
Having a great appreciation for art, Spirit loves nothing more then to study something pretty and be awestruck. But order comes before beauty in her book, and she almost always picks order first (even if Spirit doesn't want to.) A rather busybody who seems too uptight and well.. Busy, she seems at first impression, but Spirit knows how to have fun. Well, kind of. The female has a light drinking problem, and just a tiny dose of liquor can get her started. The female only drinks when she is rather upset, or just needs to be cheered up really, for there is usually no one else she can turn to talk. All in all, Spirit is not a bad person once you earn her trust, which is somewhat difficult.

History:
History:
Spirit, born an only child, grew up in the wrong human environment. Her father was a drug dealer, and was put in jail when she was only 3 years old. Her family had always been poor, but when her father had been sent to his punishment, they grew even more poverty-stricken. Her mother worked most hours, and to make things worse, Spirit began to become fearful of being without her mother, always wanting to be near her.
The whole deal her mother put up with. Her grandparents on the mother's side, gave them money from time to time, but it was still not enough to support themselves fully. Living in the lower-life of somewhat of a basement in an apartment building, their appliances were short. Most of the time, they hadn't even had enough money to support electricity.
Then, when Spirit turned 6, her mother decided she had enough, and would go to America for more job choices, and would send money back to France so when she returned, their family would be much better off, having a few thousands of dollars to support even more of them. Because she could barely even afford to get herself to America, her mother left Spirit with her grandparents in a Scottish island, giving her worst possible memory, the train ride away from her.
Once her mother was gone, Spirit enclosed herself and began to become a somewhat hermit. Always lounging around in her own room in her grandparent's house, and rarely coming out. Sometimes, she even skipped meals. Besides the usual depressed activities, her Grandparents also noticed something different about the child; It seemed that there had been an aura of difference around her. The weird suspicion that there was more to Spirit then meets the eye was confirmed when a bird ran into her window, and right before her Grandmother's eyes, healed it's broken wing.
After that, the Waltz Grandparents decided not to talk about it, and sent the poor child to a psychiatrist, worried for her health. But even so, Spirit stayed lifeless and limp, and the weird feeling people got when she was around remained.
It continued for several years, each year Spirit becoming even worse. After one year had passed, she had fully refused to sometimes get out, and asked her grandparents to home-school her, saying that "school was painful." Some days, she would refuse to get out of bed for 3 days. Her longest had been a week.
Then, one day, they received a mysterious letter. One that invited Spirit to a special school, and explained to the grandparents about Spirit's "condition" of being a witch. They had tried to pretend they were skeptical; There was just something too weird about their granddaughter to ignore. So finally, the shipped Spirit off to the school with the reasoning that it would be good for her health.
So, Spirit was forced to get out of her depression bed and go to a new school. At first, she loathed everyone, but thought it was neat that she was placed in Ravenheart, the smartest of all houses. As time went by, Spirit recovered on her own, and began to open up a little, and enjoy the school itself. Her mother had returned to France in her 5th year, and had offered to take Spirit back home, but Spirit refused, saying she would rather finish her school after the circumstances were explained to her mother.
When she was in her 7th year, the female realized that this school had done more then teach her. It had healed her, and she felt the need to pay it back, deciding to be the potions master, a subject she had always excelled in.
