The daughter of Emily Swanson and Gorger White born April 5th 1972.Her mother was an actress and singer who had performed on Broadway a few times and lived in New York. Her father was a Scottish Lawyer who fell in love with her mother when going to see a play. He paid to go backstage and asked the beautiful and talented you Emily then 20 out for a date, her father 32 and recently divorced. The two were a match made in heaven and within six months were married. It was only ten months later they were blessed with a beautiful baby girl.
Emily Swanson who never officially changed her last name due to her carrier spoiled her little girl and from an early age started her off in music. However it did not take long before Emily noticed something strange about her daughter. At the age of three they finally took Ophelia to the doctors and found out the girl was losing her sight. By the time she was five she was completely blind and was lost in a dark world.
Emily took her daughter to her mother who was a so called ‘witch’ and had a black cat familiar that no one other then Emily could see…and young Ophelia even if she could not see him, knew the cat was there. Emily’s mother tried all her spells on the little girl but was unable to fix her lose of sight. Instead Ophelia grew up for most of her life in the dark and became a singer and somehow learned to play the flute, violin, cellos, guitar, harp, piano, sitar, and drums.
At the age of twelve when she was suppose to go to a musical school for gifted children a note was sent saying she had been accepted to Arcane. Ophelia was nervous to go, she didn’t believe she would be able to learn magic because she was blind but her parents insisted that she could do it because she had learned to play so many interments. At the ceremony for the first years Ophelia felt bad that she would never see her guardian, but she got a surprise when her friend jumped from the either. Arcaidia was her name, and she gave Ophelia one of her most treasured gifts, she was given the power of sight.
Opening her eyes she could finally see again and has ever since. Even if she had never been the greatest in magic she continued to excel in music and graduated Arcane to go to a musical collage. There she met a man named Henry Parker at the age of 20. He was 24 and the two seemed destine to be together forever until Ophelia found out she was pregnant and Henry moved to Africa. Some perfect lover she had found. That year she gave birth to a healthy daughter who she named Shiloh. Ophelia then became an opera singer and a rather well known one. She also gave private lessons and found how rewarding it was to teach children music so on top of now being a singer and actress herself she also works at Arcane as a choir teacher with her 16 year old daughter Shiloh who attends Arcane.
